This blog is to record the croudsourcing attempt capture the street prices for consumer goods, to start with the food ration items globally. This was inspired from an earlier attempt to track Global Fuel retail Prices through a similar index when the prices were arround 130 USD+. Hope the attempt will be successful. SInce the task is quite huge, and requires a continuous effort to collect street price information from various countries, this has to be a global effort similar to wikipedia. And I hope it will similarly help everyone involved understand, track and analyse the prices in their own countries, across countries and various other aspects which currently are not served by anything that's available in public domain.
All are welcome to join the effort. Pl add your name, and country where you will be collecting the prices. The publishing policies of the blog will be quite liberal to allow discussion and get the best approaches and inputs. Pl use the facilities however abide by the blogger code of usage policy.
